Maggie’s first encounter with the Augustinian Volunteers occurred while attending St. Patrick School in San Diego, CA in 2000 as a Kindergartener. Her nine years of educational experience were enriched by the consistent presence of the AVs at St. Pat’s who, by example, taught her what it meant to be a compassionate and selfless person.
When Maggie was discerning what path to take after completing her undergraduate degree, she quickly discovered her strong desire to give back to the program that greatly influenced her. Maggie served as the Coordinator for Service Opportunities in Campus Ministry at Merrimack College in 2017. She was also heavily involved in assisting with the tutoring program at Hands to Help, a community outreach center in Lawrence that is operated in partnership with Merrimack College and St. Mary of the Assumption Parish.
Maggie graduated from the University of Portland in Portland, OR with a B.A. in Elementary Education in 2017.
After completing her AV year in June 2018, Maggie worked in a parish in San Diego as their Young Adult Coordinator before being hired as the Assistant Director in January 2019. She is equally excited, grateful, and humbled to continue her deep connection with the Augustinian Volunteers in a new capacity.
