How did you develop a passion for service?
Service was always a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up watching my parents and older siblings volunteer in the community and was inspired to get involved as well. I continued to participate in service throughout high school and college and came to realize that the service I had participated in had provided me the opportunity to form relationships with people I never would have met and to learn, grow and share experiences with them.

Discovering our community’s shared love of ice cream. This has resulted in many wonderful moments eating helado and momentarily escaping the heat of Chulucanas.
What do you like most about living in the new city you are in so far?
The people! Chulucanas is an amazing place and the people who live here are spectacular as well. Everyone is incredibly friendly and willing to offer a helping hand to us foreigners.
