How did you develop a passion for service?

I realized after doing three service trips through campus ministry at Merrimack College, that I wanted to do something much bigger than myself. I wanted to give back to others just like others had done for me. My passion to serve is something I was born with and will always serve in other ways too.

Police brutality. I want to break the cycle of both the African American Community distrusting police officer but also try to find a system that gets rid of racist police officer who may target African Americans and officers who truly not fit to be officers. In doing so I hope to also break the racial tension in our country too.

What do you like most about living in your new city so far?

Since San Diego is called a “Navy Town” I feel like I am already at home, since I want to go after this year of service. I love being able to live on the West Coast for a year and get to meet new people, try new foods and not see snow!
