How did you develop a passion for service?

I developed a passion for service through going on a week long service trip to Jacksonville, FL to work with Habitat for Humanity during spring break of my sophomore year in college. It showed me how true it is that we really are our brother’s keeper.

Share an issue you’re passionate about and explain why.

I am passionate about the issue of homelessness. I think it is so important and necessary that every person has their basic needs met. As Catholics we believe in the inherent dignity of every person, so it is so imperative that we work to help make sure that this dignity is respected and people have their most basic needs of food and shelter met.

Best moment as an AV to date?

Orientation as a whole was great. We got to hang out with all the AVs for this year, learn about the Augustinian way of life, and really foster the charism of community right off the bat.

What do you like most about living in your new city so far?

The area is absolutely gorgeous. We have the opportunity to really explore all of the beautiful sites New England has to offer.
