COVID-19
COVID-19 Response
As the COVID-19 virus has become a global pandemic, no individual, community or organization remains unaffected. During this time more than ever, the leadership of the Augustinian Volunteers remains committed to the health and safety each volunteer, the communities in which they serve and the common good. AVs serving in Chulucanas, Peru have returned to the United States. Though restrictions are in place in all domestic service locations, volunteers continue to serve remotely or as essential workers when appropriate, while following the guidelines set forth in each city. As an organization we are closely monitoring this unfolding crisis as new information becomes available daily.
Augustinian Volunteers living in intentional community are called to commit to caring for each other and the common good. Now more than ever, in these unprecedented times, their continued commitment serves as an example of the relevance of these values in our modern world.
COVID-19 Update For Applicants
The Augustinian Volunteers are currently accepting applications for the 2021-2022 volunteer year! Though it is impossible to know how we all may need to adapt in the coming year, we know our country and our world will be in need of young adults committed to service, spirituality and community. During these unpredictable and unprecedented times, we remain committed to our mission and to our 22nd class of Augustinian Volunteers.
